Fascinated by the healing qualities of charcoal, this work continues the pairs investigations of materiality and abstraction. Radius explores ideas relating to physical and mental boundaries and perception that have been omnipresent in resent times.

The charcoal pigment plays with the light revealing itself through multiple surfaces to create a dynamic artwork that transforms in unexpected ways as the viewer moves around the work.

There is an ethereal quality to these works, emphasised in their physical and spatial nuances, when viewed front on the work reads as one solid mass, but as the viewer moves around the work it shifts and reveals its subtle textures and patterns.
